Nothing cheesy about Sweet Lorraine’s Mac n’ Cheez! franchise agreement

Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez! signed a franchising agreement for a fifth Michigan location.

The Detroit-based fast casual chain Sweet Lorraine’s Fabulous Mac n’ Cheez! is expanding to 100 nationwide locations in the next five years, according to a recent press release.

With four locations operating in Michigan, the company is looking to broaden its reach and has already signed a commitment for a fifth location in Michigan as well as one each in Ohio and Illinois, according to the release. Sweet Lorraine’s was founded in 2010, and began franchising in 2013 and is excited to begin expansion.

"Franchise investors recognize that we've created a completely new category of fast casual restaurants with tremendous potential for growth," said CEO Gary Sussman, who pointed out that the company was in the market for franchise partners. The franchise fee is $39,000, additional locations cost $24,500, and the total investment is about $160,000 to $400,000.
