Newk’s Eatery has named Alan Wright as its chief marketing officer

Newk’s Eatery has named Alan Wright as its CMO, according to a company press release. Wright first joined Newk’s Eatery in March 2013, as VP of marketing and most recently served as its VP of marketing and franchise operations.
"Alan’s strategic eye and seasoned management have been essential to the strengthening and increased visibility of the Newk’s brand in recent years, along with our accelerated operational growth," said Chris Newcomb, Newk’s Eatery co-founder and CEO. "In his new role, Alan will continue this brand momentum and provide critical vision for Newk’s future marketing initiatives."
As CMO, Wright will spearhead Newk’s marketing strategy both for the brand’s company-owned restaurants and for systemwide efforts across franchise territories, driving menu innovation, boosting consumer loyalty and fortifying Newk’s brand presence across all marketing media in existing and emerging markets.
Wright first came to Newk’s with 30 years of franchising, marketing and management experience, having served in marketing leadership positions with both The Krystal Company and Hardee’s Food Systems.
