Newk's introduces winter menu

Newk's winter menu features spicy takes on classic comfort food.

Newk's Eatery is adding Spicy Sicilian Pizza, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Buffalo Chicken-enhanced Mac & Cheese to its menu through April 5.

"Newk's loyal guests share our adventurous palate and craving for fresh, flavorful dining experiences, so we are giving them some entree combinations that will spice things up in 2015," said Alan Wright, VP of Marketing and Franchise Operations, in a company press release. "We are passionate about flavor, and these new entrees are a natural extension of our culinary menu."

The Spicy Sicilian Pizza consists of hand-rolled dough brushed with chili oil and layered with hot capicola, pepperoni and spicy salami. The pizza is topped with shredded mozzarella, parmesan and provolone cheeses and garnished with capers and green onions. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza is topped with spicy Buffalo sauce, grilled chicken and cheddar and provolone cheeses, garnished with gorgonzola cheese and celery.

The Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese features classic macaroni and cheese tossed in Buffalo sauce, served with grilled chicken and garnished with gorgonzola cheese and green onions.

The pizza LTOs are priced at $8.99 each, while the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese will sell for $7.99 as an entree and $5.99 as a side item.
