Newk's Eatery is expanding its geographic footprint from the Southeast and into the Lower Midwest with the opening of a restaurant in Fayetteville on Jan. 12. The restaurant will be the fifth Newk's Eatery location in Arkansas and the first of four locations scheduled to open in the northwestern corner of the state by 2016.
Franchisees Jim Lynch and Jim White chose Fayetteville due to its proximity to the University of Arkansas, as well as the area's rapidly developing retail and business industry. The longtime business partners plan to open additional locations in Bentonville, Rogers and Fort Smith by 2016, increasing the total number of Arkansas-based Newk's Eatery restaurants to eight.
"Newk's is passionate about creating memorable food experiences in an atmosphere that is both casual and friendly -- a model that has already been well received in Central and Northeastern Arkansas," said Jim Lynch. "We look forward to extending that hospitality into the northwestern part of the state and gathering a new community of diners around Newk's tables."
The restaurant will open at Spring Creek Center on Joyce Blvd. across from Northwest Arkansas Mall. The restaurant will offer indoor and outdoor seating for up to 144 guests and will employ more than 50 people.
