Newk's adds 4th Jacksonville unit

Newk's Eatery is opening its fourth restaurant in the Jacksonville community. Located on 6025 Butler Point Road, the chain's newest Jacksonville location will set up shop in the Galleria Marketplace development near the Southpoint area, according to a company press release. 

This restaurant is the next in the line of as many as 30 new Newk's Eateries opening throughout the Sunshine State over the next five years, following recent openings in the Orlando, Sarasota and Palm Beach areas.

"Jacksonville is a market we've always got our eye on, and we have plans to open additional locations in the area within the next year," said Chris Newcomb, Newk's Eatery CEO and co-founder. "Diners here have always been receptive to our restaurants, and we're particularly excited to be taking what we're known for best into a new branch of the community: exceptionally fresh ingredients, flavorful meals and our Southern-inspired hospitality."

Newk's Eatery, based in Jackson, Mississippi, has 104 locations in 13 states and plans to expand to more than 200 units by 2019, Newcomb said.
