A popular single-location North Carolina-based restaurant, Go Burrito, is taking the plunge this week into franchising its concepts. The 3-year-old physicist-owned burrito restaurant was founded by a retired Microsoft executive, Mikey Wetzel, in Salisbury, North Carolina.
The beach-themed restaurant sells what a news release called "Cali-style" burritos.
"We have perfected our Cali-style burritos and we are ready to take the next step by expanding across the nation," said Wetzel. "It's our mission to change what you know about burritos. If your burrito isn't the size of your head, then it's too small."
The North Carolina restaurant specializes in the burritos made popular by the surfing community along the California coast.
