New BBQ concept set to open in 2011

Rock On, LLC., a fast-casual barbecue restaurant concept and specialty foods company, has announced the planned opening of the first Rock On! American BBQ restaurant in spring 2011 at 311 E. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire Wisc. The company also is planning to expand its brand throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

"We have been working on this concept and menu for over four years, and we feel that now is the right time to move forward at this location," Mike Stone, founder of Rock On LLC said. "It is a high traffic site that will allow us to serve the students, families and workers at several large schools, businesses and a whole variety of households. People have been asking for this food for sit down eating, take out and catering, and we are glad to be of service."

The Rock On! menu was created to provide Americans with the best barbecue food by using quality, fresh ingredients. The menu will feature traditional items such as beef, pork and chicken and a tangy tomato and vinegar-based sauce.

Some signature items such as the Po-Boy Sandie, the Hot Beef Sando, Racks, Tips, 4-Bone Dinner, Southern Pecan Salad, Flan and Flourless Chocolate Cake will also be on the menu. The price-point ranges from $4.95 to $12.95.

There will also be a select catering menu.

The Rock On! concept mixes various American influences that have inspired the BBQ industry. A collaboration of influences from southern artists, musicians, materials and colors along with modern influences make up this new concept.

"There's always a demand for great BBQ and we have created a concept that appeals to our busy lifestyles, our demand for ingredient conscious foods and a need for reasonable prices," Stone said. "Our menu is not limited to only heavy BBQ dishes but will offer a variety of items that are full of flavor and lighter, too."
