Nestlé continues Sjora launch
January 13, 2008
GLENDALE, Calif. — Nestlé FoodServices has launched its new Sjora beverage, made with 10 percent milk and 5 percent juice, to help restaurant operators satisfy customers' desire for a healthier beverage alternative.
Sjora doesn't contain high-fructose corn syrup, carbonation or caffeine and is available in two flavors — Mango Peach and Tropical Pineapple — in regular and diet versions.
"Consumers are increasingly avoiding carbonated beverages when eating out," said Kathy Lenkov, communication manager for Nestlé FoodServices North America. "Sjora is a fun, unique product with an eye-catching name that will only be available to select operations — which can help restaurants who offer it build and differentiate their own brand."
Colorado-based Mad Greens Inspired Eats has been testing Sjora in its Denver area locations. Mad Greens co-founder Dan Long said the beverage has helped establish the concept as a healthy eatery.
