Grown, an organic-certified fast-food restaurant founded by Shannon Ray and NBA Hall of Famer Ray Allen, is launching a nationwide franchising program. The move aims to expand the reach of the restaurant, which offers nutrient-dense, accessible meals.

The concept for Grown originated from a personal need. Shannon Allen realized the lack of quick, healthy and affordable organic food options after their son, Walker, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

"I was driving around with Walker in the backseat, managing blood sugars and reading every label, realizing there was nowhere to go for real food," she said in a company press release. "What became abundantly clear is that everyone needs this."

Ray Allen emphasized the importance of nutrition throughout his career.

"Grown reflects mindset: it's real food cooked slow for fast people," he said.

Since opening its flagship location in South Florida, Grown has garnered a dedicated following. The franchising program seeks entrepreneurs, families, athletes, and wellness advocates committed to the brand's mission. Franchisees will receive comprehensive training, marketing, and operational support and benefit from the brand's media visibility.

Idea franchise candidates have at least three years of experience in the food and beverage industry and possess a minimum of $200,000 in available capital for each restaurant they wish to develop. Units range in size from 1,300 to 1,900 square feet.
