Restaurant entrepreneur Dhvani Vyas has signed a franchise agreement with Nature’s Table Café for the Washington, D.C., metro market. Nature’s Table has 78 restaurants open in 12 states.
Born in a small village in Ahmedabad, India, Vyas was 7 years old when his family immigrated to the United States. Vyas has worked in various retail jobs since the age of 14. In 2007, Vyas opened his own Subway restaurant in Greenbelt, Md. In 2009, he created a European café concept, Aromi d' Italia Cafe, which is now thriving at the prestigious National Harbor Resort development outside Washington, D.C.
“I loved the Nature’s Table concept from the start. Other restaurant chains are in a rush to change their menus to be healthier, but Nature’s Table is already there and has been since 1977," Vyas said.
Nature’s Table menu items include signature sandwiches, wraps, specialty salads, soups, smoothies, coffees, breakfast offerings, desserts and snacks. The concept has found success in both traditional and non-traditional venues such as Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Orlando International Airport, turnpike plazas, health clubs, hospitals, college campuses and malls.
