Napa boasts a new fast-fine dining restaurant, Heritage Eats, which opened in May in the BelAire Shopping Center, according to a company press release.

The brand's slogan is "Slow Meats Fast," with an emphasis on heritage-breed meats, produce from local farms and house-made sauces, said Co-founders Ben Koenig and Chef Jason Kupper, who bring over 25 years of combined industry experience to the new venture.

The brand offers combinations of wraps, sandwiches, salads and rice bowls drawing inspiration from South America, South East Asia, Northern Africa and beyond, Kupper said.

Diners customize their experience starting by choosing their protein from a variety of options, such as Jamaican jerk chicken, cider braised pork or crispy chickpea falafel. Next, they select from options such as house-made steamed bao buns, fresh baked pita bread,a tortilla wrap or rice bowl as a base for their creation. An assortment of toppings, including roasted corn and edamame, quinoa tabbouleh, Asian pickle, and ocal garden greens are also available.

Pre-designed, signature offerings, known as "Good Calls," are also offered on the menu. Selections include the Bánh Mì Dutch Crunch with grilled lemongrass pork on a Dutch Crunch roll with Asian pickle, garden greens, creamy cilantro and boom sauce, and Jamaican Bao with Jamaican jerk chicken, on two steamed bao buns with crunchy cabbage slaw, Asian pickle and pineapple-habanero sauce.

Custom and pre-designed menu offerings will rotate with the season, resource availability, said Kupper, who also serves as the brand's head chef.
