Kid-focused entertainment centers aren't exactly known for serving delicious food, but KidZania is hoping to change that reputation by partnering with two Texas-based fast casual brands. The global kid-centric destination, which has 27 locations in 21 countries, has added Pie Five Pizza and Mooyah Burgers to its offerings at its first U.S.-based location in Frisco, Texas, according to a company press release.

But the brands are offering more than just food at KidZania, a place where children have an opportunity to role-play more than 100 professions within an average 80,000-square-foot indoor city, Greg Stevens, CEO of KidZania USA, said in the release. Now, they can learn about being pizza and burger chefs.

"The KidZania experience allows kids to learn about the world of work while building real-life skills like financial literacy, teamwork and problem solving," he said.

In addition to the locations in which children role play as chefs, there are also secondary Pie Five and Mooyah restaurants on the mezzanine level for guests.

"This is a very special opening for us because kids can now see how pizza is made and discover what life as a chef is like," said Douglas Kwong, vice president of marketing for Rave Restaurant Group, parent company of Pie Five. "In addition to learning how to prepare pizzas, they'll learn valuable skills like food safety and sanitation."

Mooyah President Tony Darden agreed.

"KidZania USA brings such a unique concept to learning," he said in the release. "As one of the first industry partners in this new Frisco location, we are looking forward to the opportunity to continue to grow our presence across the U.S. with KidZania in other major markets and to expose families to our playful brand and undeniably awesome menu. We are proud to be involved in this innovative and interactive learning experience."
