MOOYAH launches Colorado expansion

September 3, 2013

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes opened its first Colorado unit Monday at the The Orchard Town Center in Westminster.

"We're so excited to expand into Colorado and couldn't be happier to have Kyle Messmer spearhead our growth in Westminster," said Michael Mabry, director of Franchise at MOOYAH. "His successful history with franchising and his dedication to the MOOYAH experience make him the ideal franchisee to bring MOOYAH to the area."

Messmer originally set out to become a chiropractor while studying at Southern Oregon University, but he left school to pursue franchising when he realized his heart was in business. Taking after his father, who has 22 years of experience as a Subway franchisee, Messmer saw multiunit success with the sub-sandwich company in the Portland metropolitan area. He is excited to open the first MOOYAH in Colorado, and is joined by his brother, Bryan Messmer, in the opening of the new restaurant.

"I'm a huge fan of MOOYAH's core values and their dedication to giving back to the communities in which they serve," Kyle Messmer said, noting that he plans to pair up with Westminster's Chamber of Commerce and complete charity work with local schools, churches and other non-profit organizations once his business is underway. "It was my initial visit to one of their restaurants that really sold me. The fresh simplicity coupled with the great environment they create for their employees were extremely appealing to me as a business owner."
