MOOYAH expands to the South and East coasts

May 2, 2011

Texas-based MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes has continued in its quest to expand beyond the Lonestar State, inking expansion deals for western Oklahoma, eastern Tennessee, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

“We are on pace with development agreements that involve commitments for more than 450 new restaurants over the next decade,” said MOOYAH president Alan Hixon.

The brand has twice been named to FastCasual.com’s annual Top 100 Movers & Shakers list, grabbing the No. 1 title in 2009.

Hixon also was recently named one of “10 Restaurant Execs to Watch in 2011” by Nation’s Restaurant News.

“MOOYAH is a ‘wow’ brand that is appealing to first time entrepreneurs as well as experienced restaurateurs. And for the hamburger-loving public, MOOYAH gives them a better burger and a better experience, which has helped us grow a loyal fan base,” said founder Rich Hicks.
