Moe's spices up guacamole offering

April 30, 2014

Moe's Southwest Grill has introduced a new spicy guacamole and will treat guests to a free 2-ounce serving all day on May 5 for its annual Cinco de Moe's celebration.

According to a news release, Moe's new spicy guacamole is made fresh, in-house with Hass avocados, tomatoes, cilantro, habanero peppers, garlic, lime juice and jalapeños. Guests can add it to their entrée or pair it with tortilla chips.

"We always look forward to Cinco de Moe's, a day we enjoy celebrating with our customers, so what better way than to give them a free sneak preview of our new spicy guacamole," said Moe's Executive Chef, Pat Peterson. "Our guests have been asking us to turn up the heat, so we added a kick of habanero pepper to spice up the flavor profile of a fan favorite."

The first guests in line at all of Moe's locations on Cinco de Moe's will receive a free Cinco de Moe's t-shirt. On May 6, the new spicy guacamole will be available for purchase as a side, to add on and spice up any entrée, and is also available to add to catering orders for a limited time through Aug. 24.
