Moe's Southwest Grill partners with Kellogg to sell breakfast offerings in grocery stores

June 22, 2017

Moe's Southwest Grill has delivered its Moe’s Breakfast Bowls to the frozen food section of grocery chains such as Walmart, Giant Eagle and Wegman's, with plans to distribute to Kroger and HEB by July. Moe's partnered with Kellogg Company to develop the frozen bowls, according to a press release.

Moe's line of bowls includes five products:

  • Chorizo & Eggs, a blend of eggs, clinato lime rice, hormone-free pork chorizo and black beans, topped with queso and pico de gallo.
  • Chorizo Benedict, a bowl with eggs, Yukon gold potatoes, hormone-free pork chorizo, pico de gallo, jalapeno lime hollandaise and avocado.
  • Southwest Vegetarian, a bowl with eggs, pinto and black beans, cilantro lime rice, salsa verde, roasted tomatillo salsa fresco, queso fresco and avocado.
  • Chicken Chilaquiles, a bowl with eggs, hormone-free pulled chicken, tortilla chips and pinto beans, topped with salsa, queso and cilantro.
  • Huevos Rancheros, a bowl with fried egg, corn tortilla and black beans, topped with salsa rojo, pico de gallo and queso fresco.

"We are thrilled to increase access to the delicious experience of Moe's through the debut of Moe’s Breakfast Bowls at supermarkets nationwide," Kat Cole, COO and president, Focus Brands, Moe's parent company, said in the release. "The Southwest flavor profile is growing in appeal, but until now, not widely available in the breakfast category. Moe's Breakfast Bowls are meeting the demand for better-for-you, flavorful options for a high protein breakfast or breakfast-as-snack option."
