An article in the Dallas Morning News notes that Modmarket is printing nutrition information right on the receipt.

According to Beth Hardy, chief storyteller at Modmarket, the brand has always done so.

"It helps keep our transparency promise and differentiates us from our competitors," Hardy said in an email to FastCasual.com.

Modmarket co-founder Anthony Pigliacampo said the nutrition information is aimed at educating customers about the calories, fat, protein and carbs they are consuming.

Modmarket is opening its first Texas location in Flower Mound today. Three additional units are planned for Texas.

The Texas units will be Modmarket's first outside of Colorado.
