Modmarket, a fast casual restaurant company offering healthy food at six metro-Denver area locations, announced today its plan to open a new location at Denver International Airport.
Modmarket DIA, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014, will open in the Concourse B Food Court, home to the United/Continental Airlines hub. The DIA location will be operated through a partnership with Tastes on the Fly, a national airport restaurant operator, according to a company press release. Currently, Tastes on the Fly operates 12 restaurants in airports throughout the country, including those in San Francisco International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
Modmarket DIA will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering farm-fresh food for the modern lifestyle, making a quick meal out healthy, delicious and affordable, said Anthony Pigliacampo, Modmarket co-founder. Using simple, whole ingredients, sourced from a thoughtful collection of traceable regional and local suppliers, all dishes are made from scratch in open kitchens in less than 10 minutes and cost under $10.
"This is a very exciting step not only for our Company but also for travelers at DIA. Everyone knows it is virtually impossible to find healthy food in airports. This partnership pairs Modmarket's healthy and tasty food with Tastes on the Fly's airport operational expertise to deliver travelers nutritious and satisfying options before their flights," Pigliacampo said.
"We are excited to join other local Denver-area companies at DIA, such as Root Down and Udi's, to promote the fact that part of Colorado's healthy lifestyle is a commitment to sustainable dining, even when traveling," Pigliacampo said.
