Modern Market is newest kid on the block

Modern Market Eatery is opening its ninth Denver-area restaurant Friday at The Streets at South Glenn in Centennial, Colorado. It's celebrating with a block party featuring a local DJ as well as free cotton candy with lemonade from Colorado Cotton Candy Co., free ice pops from Peak Pops and a wellness booth from Orangetheory Fitness, according to a company press release. 

The first 200 guests (starting at 11 a.m.) will receive free lunch. Donations from the block party will benefit Sprout City Farms, a local nonprofit that works to ensure food-secure communities by developing and strengthening the local food system. 

The menu features handmade salads, bowls, toasted sandwiches, brick-oven pizzas, hand-carved plates, avocado toasts, house-juiced lemonades and a breakfast menu. Locally vetted sources include Coda Coffee and Izzio Bakery.
