MOD Pizza opens first military base location in Virginia

MOD Pizza has opened its first location on a military base at Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia. It's under the helm of franchisee One Enterprise Group led by Cassandra and Tony Bozeman, according to a press release.

With the opening of its inaugural military base location, MOD extends its reach to more than 82,000 active-duty military personnel and 112,000 family members as well as the general public in Norfolk.

"We at MOD are extraordinarily pleased to see our first opening on a Military Base with our franchisees, Cassandra and Tony Bozeman," Steve Blum, CDO at MOD, said in the release. "We believe that our unique combination of nutritious, quality ingredients combined with our speed of execution is perfectly suited for non-traditional environments such as Military Bases, Airports and Universities and love partnering with the military to feed our sailors. As the leader in the Fast-casual Pizza segment, we look forward to opening many more non-traditional locations across the US."

MOD Pizza operates more than 540 stores systemwide.
