Mod Pizza opening 4 units in Dallas-Ft.Worth

Mod Pizza is growing its Texas footprint with two Dallas/Fort Worth locations opening this summer and two others by year's end. The first store opens in the Prosper area in July, according to a news release, followed by a second in McKinney in August. The fall locations will open in Midlothian and Fort Worth.

Mod, which has more than 40 locations across the state of Texas, has made a commitment to build a meaningful presence in the greater Metroplex area.   

Mod Prosper is in the Windsong Ranch Shopping Center, and the McKinney South location is on South Cluster Road. Both of the new restaurants come in at 2,800 square feet of space, and both also include outdoor patios.

"We're excited to expand our footprint in Texas, adding to our existing markets of Houston, Austin and San Antonio," Mod co-founder and CEO Scott Svenson said in the release. "Texas is a key market for Mod, and we expect to continue our expansion across the entire state for the foreseeable future.

Each new location will hire 30 employees for a brand that has numerous initiatives to hire those who are often looked over by other employers due to histories involving crime convictions and drug abuse. The company has had great success with these types of individuals who company leaders say have proven to be very motivated to work hard, stay enthusiastic and relate well with patrons. 

Mod now has more than 350 locations system-wide across 28 states and the United Kingdom.
