MOD Pizza has launched an iOS app with Koala, a platform that creates customizable apps and websites for restaurants and MOD Pizza is its debut brand.
The app features an elevated, branded design with an image-driven user experience at the core of the browsing experience for fans of the brand specializing in individual artisan-style pizzas and salads. The app debuted in the Top 100 in the Food & Drink category, and has a 4.8 rating, according to a press release. It is Koala's first app launch.
"As one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the United States, MOD has a huge and loyal digital customer base," Brett Spiegel, co-founder & chief operating officer of Koala, said in a company press release. "MOD has been an outstanding partner to work with on their web ordering channel, and we couldn't be more pleased to have them as the inaugural brand on our new app."
Through the Koala platform, the MOD team can make changes to the app's layout, key features and messaging directly. With Koala's app, updates appear in real-time, eliminating the lengthy app submission process for minor updates. In addition, the app promotes dynamic cross-sell product recommendations. Koala's app also integrates with quick-service restaurant industry leaders Olo and Punchh. Olo offers a consolidated ordering and delivery experience for restaurant operators and Punchh curates a customer-first loyalty program.

"We're excited to deepen our partnership with the Koala team by adding app ordering alongside the web experience we launched together last year."
MOD Pizza has more than 500 locations nationwide.
