Mod Pizza is adding two executives to its leadership team with Tracy Cioffi joining as the company's first chief marketing officer, and Kate Jaspon being named to Mod's board of directors.
Cioffi, who as senior vice president for Sur La Table developed and managed the integrated marketing strategy for its 130-plus stores and 75 culinary locations, will lead the Mod's global marketing strategy. She'll oversee brand marketing, design, customer insights, local store marketing, digital marketing and communications, according to a press release.
Prior to Sur La Table, Cioffi was vice president and head of marketing for See's Candies Inc., directing marketing and sales for more than 250 stores and leading e-commerce operations.
Jaspon, an 11-year veteran of Dunkin' Brands where she served as chief financial officer, led several key initiatives including the company's IPO and follow-on offerings. She has steered a cross-functional team responsible for financial and SEC reporting, debt management, cash management, insurance, enterprise risk management, contract administration and records management, according to the release.
Prior to Dunkin', Jaspon was a senior manager with KPMG, where she served as an audit manager for publicly-traded and privately-held clients in several industries including software, biotech, high-tech and manufacturing.
"Tracy and Kate join the Mod team at a critical point in our growth, and Ally (Svenson) and I are excited to welcome their guidance and expertise as we continue to expand the company footprint across the globe," Scott Svenson, co-founder and CEO of Mod, said in the release. "With the addition of the CMO role, we are adding depth to our marketing operations, and I am confident Tracy will ensure that Mod's people-first culture and our commitment to making a positive social impact is evident in all facets of our business. Kate's deep financial and leadership expertise will be a welcome addition to the board, and we look forward to her insights and counsel."
