Mixt opens in San Fran neighborhood

August 24, 2017

California-based Mixt is opening its first neighborhood unit in San Francisco's Cow Hollow neighborhood, at 3130 Fillmore St., marking its tenth location.

The grand opening celebration is 1 p.m. on Sept.16, according to a press release.

"We're beyond excited to bring MIXT's delicious, sustainable, and seasonal food to Cow Hollow," CEO Leslie Silverglide, said in the release. "We're looking forward to serving the growing number of San Franciscans looking for farm-fresh lunch, dinner, and weekend meals that fit their health-conscious lifestyles."

The Cow Hollow location will offer the chain's, Mixt Market Plates, which feature a choice of sustainable proteins, including herb-roasted, free-range chicken or grilled Columbia river steelhead. Each plate comes with a homemade sauce, such as chimichurri or miso ginger glaze, and two seasonal side dishes.

The Fall menu sides will include roasted brussels sprouts sprinkled with sea salt and quinoa with roasted purple cauliflower and toasted almonds. Market Plate prices range from $10.95 for a vegetarian Market Plate to $14.95 for the steelhead option, according to the release.

The location — which features the area's only kombucha bar, with three organic options on tap along with cold brew and iced nitro chai —  offers table-top, booth, outdoor seating and online ordering via a mobile app.
