MilkShake Factory, known for its handspun milkshakes and premium chocolates, will open its first Indiana location in Indianapolis on July 12 at 1340 E. 86th St. #56. A grand opening celebration from noon to 4 p.m. will feature music, giveaways, and a buy-one-get-one-free offer on all shakes, sundaes and molten cups.
Co-Owner Alex Chandler discovered MilkShake Factory on social media before a trip to Pittsburgh, according to a press release.
"The moment I walked into the store, I was sold," Chandler said in the release. "From the throwback milk bottle racks to the clean, welcoming space and outstanding service, it felt like a fresh take on the classic soda fountain."
He and his franchise partner, Kindall Palmer, plan to open several MilkShake Factory stores in Indianapolis.
"As dads with young families, we know how meaningful it is to have a place where people can gather, celebrate, and enjoy something special," Palmer said in the release. Palmer has five years of experience in the quick-service restaurant industry.
The menu features a variety of milkshake flavors, including Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and Campfire S'mores, along with sundaes, molten chocolate cups and housemade chocolate treats. All items are made with the company's signature ice cream, created fresh daily using the Edwards family's exclusive recipe.
MilkShake Factory, founded in Pittsburgh in 1914, began as a soda fountain and chocolate shop. The company plans to open a second Indiana location in Avon in late summer 2025.
