Michel Sohrabi named Hypercom VP

PHOENIX — Michel Sohrabi has been appointed to the newly created post of vice president of marketing and business development at Hypercom EMEA.
Sohrabi will join the company Aug. 28, 2007, and is expected to play a key role in implementing Hypercom's business plan, focusing on high-growth market segments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will report to Kazem Aminaee, Hypercom managing director.
Sohrabi joins Hypercom from Wavecom, where he served as security and payment business development director for the past two years. He also has held responsible sales, marketing and business development positions with Ingenico Group and COM One Group.
