MenuTrinfo hosting menu labeling webinar for pizza operators

On the heels of the FDA's final menu labeling regulations, issued last month, MenuTrinfo is hosting a free webinar with information on how these rules will impact the pizza segment.

The webinar, titled "Any Way You Slice It: Pizza and Menu Labeling," is set for Jan. 7 at 12 p.m. EST. It will be hosted by Betsy Craig, CEO and co-founder of MenuTrinfo, and Claire Willis, director of Culinary Nutritionists at MenuTrinfo. The webinar will cover:

  • An analysis of how menus and menu boards need to be labeled.
  • The types of posted nutritional information needed for compliance.
  • An example of what a menu should look like when labeled with the FDA menu labeling standards.

"Since the final ruling, we have been inundated with questions from pizzeria operators looking to understand how the final regulations will change their operations. We decided to dedicate this second webinar in our menu labeling series to specifically address their questions and concerns," Craig said in a news release. "We also will continue to respond to calls and concerns in regard to the ruling and have ramped up our efforts to get the industry through this legislative change. Our main goal at MenuTrinfo is to flip the fear of menu labeling for pizzeria and other restaurant owners one menu at a time."
