Southern California's Mendocino Farms is expanding Tuesday to the center of Houston's urban area with a location in The Heights at M-K-T at 600 N. Shepherd Dr. Since its Houston debut in 2019, the restaurant has grown to four area locations.

"The Heights' vibrant character and culinary scene make M-K-T a prime spot to open our doors after the success of our other Houston locations," Kevin Miles, CEO of Mendocino Farms, said in a company press release. "We envision this new location as a go-to destination for enjoying a Mendo culinary adventure, whether it's lunch with co-workers, dinner with family and friends, or a nourishing break for those enjoying the nearby Heights Hike and Bike Trail. It's an exciting moment for our brand to invite more Houstonians to Eat Happy."

Founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen, Mendocino Farms has 42 locations.
