Menchie's plans grand opening of Chicago store

Menchie's has opened its newest store in Chicago at the intersection of Clybourn and Wrightwood. To celebrate the opening, Menchie's will hold a seven-day grand opening celebration Aug. 2 through Aug. 8.

"I was heavily involved in the corporate world for years and I came across the Menchie's concept and immediately knew that getting involved in the franchise sector was the next career step for me," Franchisee Craig Gutmann said in a news release. "The engaging environment and the interaction at the store is unparalleled to other businesses. To be the first Menchie's to enter the heart of Chicago is quite an honor and I cannot wait for the city to experience the best-in-class frozen yogurt."

The new self-serve store includes arts and crafts for kids, music and indoor/outdoor seating.
