Melt Shop debuts second NJ location

Melt Shop has opened its second New Jersey restaurant. The corporate-owned location is in Newport Centre, a Simon mall in New Jersey City, according to a press release.

The first location opened in November in Rockaway.

Founder and CEO Spencer Rubin plans to open a third restaurant in his hometown of New Jersey next year, according to the release.

"The opening of our third restaurant in less than a month — two in New Jersey and one in Delaware — signifies the relentless momentum we're experiencing. This year alone, Melt Shop has grown from eight to 13 restaurants with five additional in the pipeline that will open by Q2 of next year,” said Rubin in the release. "As we gear up for 2019, we're energized by the success we've achieved in such a short period of time and look forward to bringing more Melt Shop restaurants to the northeast and other key regions throughout the country."

The new Melt Shop in Newport Centre features the company's newest storefront design and kitchen package. The brand has been named one of Fast Casual's Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
