Meatheads opens second Indiana restaurant

Meatheads is opening a new restaurant at 69 US Hwy 41, Suite 300 Schererville, Ind., on Aug. 11. Members of the Schererville Chamber of Commerce will help celebrate the opening with a ribbon cutting on Aug. 11 at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the pre-opening weekend will support the Schererville Soccer, Softball and Little Leagues.

In addition to serving 100 percent fresh certified Angus beef, the menu also includes salads, chicken tenders and sandwiches such as the veggie melt, grilled cheese, bacon, egg & cheese, blt, alt (avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayo) as well as a New England Style Hot Dog.

This marks the restaurant's 15th location and the second location in Indiana. The design and decor is similar to current Meatheads locations, with a local community mural and contemporary modern finishes.
