McAlister's names former McDonald's VP as new president

Focus Brands has put former McDonald's vice president, Rick Altizer, at the helm of its McAlister's Deli brand as president of the chain, according to a news release. 

"Rick is an accomplished executive who has a strong track record for leading high-performance teams and transforming businesses into high-growth franchises," said Focus Brands North America President Paul Damico. "He will draw on his extensive experience in the franchise business to continue to drive McAlister's innovation and success."

Altizer has an accomplished resume, including more than 30 years of corporate experience in leadership roles with McDonald's, Shell Oil, Midas International, Jiffy Lube International and Elevation Burger. His most recent venture before joining McAlister's was with Rightwell Growth, a business consultancy group focused on assisting early-stage growth companies in effective strategy and growth. He said he was happy to have the new opportunity with McAlister's to lead the chain "to its next stage of growth and success," according to a news release.
