McAlister's embraces spring with new salads

McAlister's Deli has brought back its Pecanberry Salad for a limited time and is celebrating its return as well as its flavored beverages by launching the “Berry Stylish” photo contest. Fans can put on their favorite spring outfit and snap a picture with McAlister’s Pecanberry Salad or a flavored beverage for a chance to win a $250 McAlister’s gift card and a $250 Visa gift card, according to a company press release.

“For many of our guests affected by the harsh winter weather this year, the return of our light and refreshing Pecanberry Salad and flavored beverages are a welcome sign that spring has finally arrived,” said McAlister’s Vice President of Global Marketing Donna Josephson. “And to make spring’s arrival a little sweeter, we are giving guests a chance to win some cash to freshen up their lunch routine and closet. We know our fans love sharing photos of themselves with friends and, of course, our Famous Sweet Tea, so this is a fun, lighthearted contest we’re sure they’ll enjoy!”

Available through Sept. 30, McAlister’s Pecanberry Salad features strawberries, blueberries, candied pecans and grilled chicken on a bed of mixed greens, served with Fat Free Raspberry-Pecan Vinaigrette Dressing. In addition, the line of made-for-you flavored beverages can be ordered year-round and includes  Wildberry Tea, Peach Tea, Strawberry Lemonade and Wildberry Lemonade.

“Guests’ feedback about last summer’s expanded flavored teas and lemonades was so positive that we added them to our permanent menu,” Josephson said.

One winner will be selected from all entries to receive the grand prize.
