Maui Wowi is hosting an Open House in Radcliff, Ky., inviting individuals interested in entrepreneurship and business opportunities to learn more about franchising opportunities within the company, according to a company press release.
Sharon Scheer, the chain's area developer in Kentucky, is hosting the event Thursday at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Radcliff, and welcomes anyone interested in learning more about the island-themed franchise concept and how to become a business owner.
"Making the transition into business ownership is something that is not only achievable with Maui Wowi but fun," Scheer said. "It's a business that attracts individuals who are looking to shed the suit, throw on a Hawaiian shirt and follow a 30-plus year system that leads to success."
This is the second open house Scheer has hosted in the Kentucky area, which she sees as a hotspot and launch pad for continued growth of the brand. The business is not a one-size-fits-all concept and instead promotes its customized scalable units that are designed to fit individual lifestyles and goals, she said. The mobile Ka'anapali Cart, for example, is one of the company's most popular models because of its ability to be easily transported to various events and venues. Other models include concession trailers, kiosks and brick-and-mortar locations.
"Maui Wowi is great for people who are entering a new stage in their lives and craving the freedom of business ownership," Scheer said.
Being located so closely to Fort Knox, Scheer expects to see quite a few military veterans at the open house and said that owning a franchise is a perfect way to re-enter civilian life. Maui Wowi also offers veterans a 10-percent discount on the franchise fee in appreciation for their services.
Visitors will have the opportunity to sample the products and speak one-on-one with Maui Wowi representatives to learn more about the concept.
