Maui Wowi Hawaiian continues Dallas expansion with new opening in Plano

The opening is the first of 10 units that local entrepreneur Ted Wilbert plans to open in the area, adding to the brand’s current 15-unit presence in Dallas.

Maui Wowi will open its newest Dallas-area location at The Shops at Willow Bend at 6121 W. Park Blvd. in Plano on Sept. 30.

The opening is the first of 10 units that local entrepreneur Ted Wilbert plans to open in the area, adding to the brand's current 15-unit presence in Dallas.

"Entrepreneurship is something that has driven my family for generations," said Wilbert in accompany press release. "My grandfather opened his first business in 1946 and served as an inspiration to his children, my parents, who passed that inspiration on to me. Joining the Maui Wowi franchise system is not only a great opportunity to invest in a quality and growing brand, but it feels familiar to that inspiration that I felt from my family before me. I hope to be able to pass that same feeling on to my two young children someday."

Currently, Maui Wowi Hawaiian operates 48 other units across Texas; three franchisees are in Houston, four in Dallas, two in Austin and others in Wimberley, Kerrville, College Station, San Antonio, Odessa, Little Elm, Lake Jackson, Cypress and Celina.
