Big Chicken, the fast casual restaurant chain founded by NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, opened its newest Massachusetts location Friday at the Wrentham Premium Outlets.

The storefront, at 1 Premium Outlet Blvd., marks the brand's first permanent location in the region, following the 2025 debut of its "Dunk Trunk" mobile pop-up. The expansion is led by JBMM Hospitality partners Barry Lattuca, James O'Hanlon, Michael Scibelli and Martin LaChance, who are also developing a future site in Beverly.

"The community buzz has only grown as we've neared the opening of our permanent location," Lattuca said in a company press release, noting the site's strategic position between Boston and Providence.

The menu features O'Neal's childhood favorites, including oversized crispy chicken sandwiches, "Dirty Fries" and the brand's latest offering, Shaq Snacks — chicken tenders served on garlic toast. Josh Halpern, CEO of Big Chicken, said the Wrentham opening was a significant milestone for the brand's New England growth.

Big Chicken operates over 40 locations across the U.S. in traditional storefronts, airports and cruise ships.
