Mama Fu's Asian House has named Steve Burt as its president and chief financial officer.
"Steve Burt joining the Mama Fu's team adds another tier of experience and excellence to our already incredible leadership team," Randy Murphy, Mama Fu's CEO, said in a company press release. "We look forward to using his expertise in strategic planning and growth as we continue Mama Fu's expansion."
As one of the industry's forward-thinking executives, Burt, a certified public accountant, has a proven track record in building and analyzing successful corporate finance strategies for retail and fast casual restaurant companies, Murphy said.
"I'm thrilled to become a part of the Mama Fu's team," said Burt. "It's great to come back to the restaurant industry and step into this role with such an impressive company that's making strides toward expansion throughout the country."
Most recently, Burt served as chief financial officer of Twin Liquors, a Texas retailer/wholesaler of spirits, wine and beer. Prior to Twin Liquors, Burt spent over seven years at MGI Holdings/Mr. Gatti's, LP, serving as president and chief financial officer and helping to guide the company to a successful exit transaction in June 2015, according to the release.
