PappaRoti, a 400-unit coffee shop based in Malaysia, is opening this month in Naperville, Illinois.
The chain, known for serving coffee buns, is increasing its U.S. footprint, bringing locations to Michigan and Nebraska as well as the Chicago area.
"We are ecstatic to bring our cafés to the people of Naperville," a PappaRoti representative said in a company press release. "Our specialty coffee buns have been developed with care for nearly 20 years in Malaysia and across international franchise locations, and we can't wait to share them with Naperville."
The shop serves its traditional Signature Bun as well as sweeter options including the Ferrero Rocher Bun, the Nuts for Nutella Bun, the Cotton Candy Bun and the Berries Delight Bun. Each bun may be stuffed with ice cream and drizzled with a variety of sauces and jams.
