Lunchbox, a restaurant technology platform, is teaming up with 1Huddle, a game-based training platform, aimed at transforming restaurant employee training into a mobile-first, competitive experience. The collaboration seeks to accelerate technology adoption and frontline execution for restaurant teams, according to James Walker, Lunchbox CEO.

"Operators can't afford to spend weeks getting teams up to speed on new roll outs," he said in a company press release. "With 1Huddle, we're helping our partners train faster, drive adoption, and ultimately boost revenue."

The partnership will allow restaurants to more quickly implement technologies, strategies and campaigns by offering gamified training. Lunchbox provides restaurants with tools for off-premise growth, including digital ordering, loyalty programs, catering and order aggregation.

The company reports an average $222 return for every $1 spent by its top customers.

By integrating Lunchbox's platform with 1Huddle's training model, restaurant teams may expect a 45% reduction in training time, along with improvements in speed, accuracy and overall frontline performance.

Through the partnership, Lunchbox brands will have access to customizable 1Huddle games designed to train employees on Lunchbox tools and solutions. This is intended to facilitate quicker onboarding for new hires, seamless rollout of updates and new technology to franchisees, and better alignment among teams on key strategies.

"We've seen what happens when training keeps pace with innovation — sales go up, performance gets sharper, and execution gets faster," Sam Caucci, CEO and founder of 1Huddle, said in the release. "This partnership is about helping teams win on day one."
