The Mediterranean-inspired chain Luna Grill announced that Texas will be home to the restaurant's first units outside of its home state of California.
The Dallas/Fort Worth area is slated as the initial Texas location with plans to build a cluster of Luna Grill stores throughout the region, the company said in a press release. The chain is also planning for broader national expansion, targeting 20 units to open in 2014 and a total of 40 to be open by the end of 2016.
"I'm confident in our operations and leadership teams when it comes to opening new restaurant locations and achieving this goal," Dan Lowe, director of operations, said in the release.
