LivingSocial has expanded its Restaurants Plus program to Washington D.C. The program, according to a company press release, introduces consumers to a variety of dining destinations and allows them to earn up to 25 percent cashback off their meals when they swipe with their registered cards.

"We're thrilled to bring this new offering to our D.C. customers, many of whom have been with LivingSocial since the very beginning," said Nick Macey, senior vice president and head of product, LivingSocial. "D.C. is an ideal market to expand Restaurants Plus as it's a perfect mix of top restaurants and hungry customers who’re always looking for new ways to save, while keeping their bellies happy."

LivingSocial has partnered with about 140 eateries in the D.C. area, including local establishments and chains. D.C. follows the launch of the program in Atlanta in September. With D.C., the list of participating restaurants grows to more than 250, Macey said.

D.C. diners, along with those in Atlanta, can sign up for the free program on LivingSocial'd mobile Web or desktop application and register qualified credit or debit cards.
