Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is opening its latest unit in South Beach, Florida, where the brand was born in 2004. Franchisee Left Field Holdings will open the unit in January 2018, at 1439 Alton Road in Miami Beach, according to a company press release.
"We have been looking for a location on South Beach for some time now," Grant Gussin, president of Left Field Holdings, said in the release. "We are so excited to return to the same location where it all began and to be back on the Beach."
To celebrate Lime's return to South Beach, the location will go back to its roots by offering the original 2004 menu and pricing for two weeks. Restaurant staff will wear the brand's original uniforms, and images will adorn the walls commemorating the people and events that defined 2004, according to the release.
"In addition, after 14 years, several of Lime's original South Beach employees, who are now working at other locations throughout Miami-Dade County, will be returning to work at the original location," Gussin said. "We pride ourselves on our dedication to both our employees and our guests."
Left Field Holdings owns and operates three Lime restaurants in Downtown Dadeland, Doral Court Plaza and West Kendall with additional locations scheduled to open in South Beach, Midtown Miami, North Miami, Brickell and Aventura in the coming months.
In 2016, EverFresh Endeavors LLC purchased Lime, which has seven locations throughout Florida and Texas. Seven additional locations are slated to open in South Beach, Midtown Miami, West Palm Beach, Dania Beach, North Miami, Brickell and Aventura in the next 24 months.
