Lettuce Entertain You taps DoorDash to enhance online ordering

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, which owns Wow Bao, has launched Storefront, DoorDash's online ordering platform, to create a first-party online ordering experience for pickup or delivery.

Diners can earn loyalty points and redeem rewards dollars directly from the LettuceEats app or Lettuce.com through Paytronix. Carat from Fiserv will enable diners ordering in-app or online to pay with Lettuce Entertain You gift cards for carryout and delivery order, according to a press release.

"We are thrilled to partner with DoorDash to be able to offer our Frequent Diner Club Members the chance to earn Frequent Diner Club Points and redeem Reward Dollars on all carryout and delivery orders for the very first time," R.J. Melman, president of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, said in the release. "It's important to us to be able to offer the same hospitality that we offer in our restaurants to our guests at home and through this partnership, we have been able to make the online ordering process quick and easy. We have seen a steady increase in carryout and delivery orders, with more than 40% of new guests ordering from us each week."

On average, restaurants using Paytronix see an 18% increase in order frequency when paired with a loyalty program, according to the release. This holds true for Lettuce Entertain You as Frequent Diner Club Members have increased their frequency of visiting or ordering an average of 2.5 times over the last three months — the highest spike seen for their full-service restaurants since the program started, according to Lettuce.

"We're proud to support the restaurant group in further extending this experience through Storefront integrations with Paytronix and Fiserv, further unifying the ordering process for guests looking to enjoy delicious meals in the comfort of their own home."

Based in Chicago, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants owns, manages and licenses over 110 establishments in Illinois, Minnesota, Maryland, Nevada, California, Virginia, Texas, Washington D.C., with Florida coming soon.
