London-based Leon is bringing its gluten-free chicken nuggets to its Washington D.C. location. The baked nuggets, which first appeared on the London menu nearly a year ago, have been so popular that the team knew its American customers would love them as well, according to a company press release.
To celebrate the Tuesday launch of the nuggets, Leon's marketing team created the Find the Golden Nugget competition, in which guests who purchase the nuggets may win food prizes ranging from free food for a year, to free GFC meals, by finding a Golden Nugget Ticket in their GFC boxes.
Leon is also opening its second U.S. location Aug.13 at 655 New York Ave. Northwest in Washington D.C., as part of the 10-level office and retail building containing 756,000 rent-able square feet and a three-story parking garage.
Leon will have 15 restaurants in the U.S. by the end of 2020.
Leon was founded in 2004 in London and now has 68 locations in the U.K., U.S., Norway, the Netherlands, Ireland and Gran Canaria island in Spain.
