Lemonade hires former Pei Wei, Wetzel's Pretzels execs

California's Lemonade Restaurant Group has added to its leadership team, naming Ame Hull COO and Michael Nishi CFO, according to a company press release.

Hull joins Lemonade from Pei Wei Asian Diner, where she served in dual roles as both regional VP of operations and VP of operations services for Pei Wei's 205 locations. Prior to joining Pei Wei Asian Diner, she spent 20 years with BJ’s Restaurant Inc.

In her role with Lemonade, Hull will oversee operations and training, playing an integral role in strengthening both front- and back-of-house operations, according to the release.

"We’re very fortunate to attract such seasoned and driven individuals to the Lemonade team,” Lemonade President and CEO Larry Kurzweil, said in the release. "Hull’s passion for restaurant operations and commitment to talent development, combined with Nishi’s financial acumen and expertise in developing restaurant brands will undoubtedly be instrumental as we position our brand for the next level of growth."

Nishi, who has served as CFO at Innovative Dining Group, Slater's 50/50 and Wetzel's Pretzels, will oversee Lemonade's purchasing and finance division, working closely with Kurzweil to develop the proper financial model for the next generation of growth, according to the press release.

"I am thrilled to join the Lemonade team," Nishi said. "As a longtime admirer of Lemonade, I look forward to building upon the momentum of continued success the brand has experienced since opening their first restaurant in 2008."

Lemonade is a privately held company with 28 locations throughout California.
