Lemonade has debuted its second generation store, which includes a new ordering system, curated food plates and new decor, according to a company press release. The unit, located at the corner of Abbot Kinney and Venice Boulevards in Venice, California, is the first in a rollout of next generation stores, CEO Larry Kurzweil said.
"Lemonade has been in growth mode since its debut in West Hollywood in 2008, and now has 27 locations throughout California," he said in the release. "The company is focused on further expansion and has invested in this next generation experience to capitalize on one of the most talked about fast casual brands."
Lemonade at Abbot Kinney features state-of-the-art LED menu monitors and new entrée food stations in addition to its signature a la carte selections. They include a carving station with gourmet roasted sous vide steak, chicken and Ahi tuna dishes, along with entrée salads and toasted sandwiches curated by Lemonade founder and Executive Chef Alan Jackson. Aimed to expedite ease of ordering while also providing exceptional value, Lemonade's Chef's Seasonal Plate combinations will also include selected meal plates in each of these three categories.
The flagship also features convenient grab-and-go meals and an entire new lineup of fresh, cold-pressed lemonades. Jackson said.
"We have taken initiatives to segment our food stations more clearly, enhancing the guest experience and interaction with our team members,” he said. "Our new menu is an exciting evolution of what the Lemonade brand is known for and allows our guests unsurpassed freedom of choices.
"While our Marketplace Salads remain the core of the menu, and you still may order everything a la carte, I’ve added a whole new offering of hot meats and poultry centered around tender grilled steak, crispy succulent chicken, and seared line-caught tuna, a robust entrée salad program showcasing all new fresh leafy salads, and recreated the sandwich menu to highlight regions in California."
Located in the heart of Venice, the new store includes maple wood tables with communal seating, original artwork, custom-made light fixtures and an outdoor patio.
In addition to two locations opening in the Bay Area this summer, Lemonade plans to modernize several other Southern California locations and ready the company for further expansion later in the year.
