Largest Salata franchisee adding Houston location

Salata Salad Kitchen's largest franchisee, Sige, is opening a restaurant this week in Houston at 10815 W. Grand Pkwy.

"I've been fortunate to have such successful restaurant openings in the past and am excited to bring the same enthusiastic energy to this one," Joe Piro, the owner of Sige, said in a company press release. "The loyal and rapidly growing customer base we've built over the years is a testament to Salata's continued success. Having accessible and fresh healthy food options that also taste good is important within communities and Salata is an answer to that. I look forward to bringing the brand to Aliana and connecting with guests at this new restaurant."

Salata restaurants feature customizable, built-to-order salads, wraps, soups, organic teas and lemonades, fresh fruit, vegetables and lean proteins.

Salata Salad Kitchen was founded in 2005 by Berge Simonian in Houston and has nearly 100 restaurants.
