La Madeleine unveils new Mediterranean menu items

La Madeleine Café is rolling out a series of limited-time menu items designed to deliver tastes of the Mediterranean. The items will be available March 25 through May 30 at La Madeleine restaurants nationwide.

“We wanted to give the guests a chance to sample lots of great fresh flavors,” said Susan Dederan, senior director of culinary operations at La Madeleine. “Each mini sandwich has a unique flavor with three different proteins as the starts. This addition to our spring menu really gives our guest a chance to feast on the great flavors of southern of France.”

The menu items include a Mediterranean trio of mini sandwiches that will retail for $7.99. Two other new Mediterranean-inspired menu items will sell for $8.99. The items are:

  • Balsamic Chicken – A succulent sandwich made with herbed parmesan dressing, field greens and tomatoes held together with an Asiago pesto roll.
  • Country Ham– Pineapple, Dijion mustard, mayo and field greens make a luscious country ham sandwich.
  • Smoked Turkey– Enjoy classic Mediterranean pesto, provolone cheese, bacon, mayo, fresh leaf lettuce and ripe tomato.
  • Mediterranean Pasta– Bowtie pasta, mushroom, garlic, artichoke hearts, Roma tomatoes and kalamata olives tossed in pesto.
  • Mediterranean Salade with Chicken– Fresh with the taste of the French Riviera cucumbers, tomatoes, green onions, hard-cooked eggs, artichoke hearts, olives and Feta Cheese and chicken, tossed in marjoram-infused vinaigrette.
