La Madeleine rolls out new summertime salads

La Madeleine Country French Café has celebrated the arrival of the summer season with bold, new salads that combine refreshing ingredients such as shrimp, strawberries and bacon.
The salads are available for a limited time and include:
- Shrimp Salade Dijonnaise:Chilled, roasted shrimp tossed in Dijonnaise, with fresh dill, red peppers, mushrooms and celery atop a bed of fresh spinach, dressed with Balsamic vinaigrette and served with a pesto cheese straw. The salad retails for $8.99.
- Citrus Bacon Salade:Wild field greens topped with sliced strawberries, mandarin oranges, pineapple, roasted, sliced almonds, Balsamic vinaigrette and served with la Madeleine's signature, Lemon Madeleine. The salad retails for $7.99.
"These new options combine the season's freshest ingredients with innovative flavor combinations. Bacon continues to be an exciting culinary trend, and our new Citrus Bacon Salade offers the perfect fusion of that smoky flavor with fresh-cut fruits," said Susan Dederen, director of culinary operations for la Madeleine. "Shrimp Salade folded into kicky Dijonnaise really compliments the great taste of spinach that's just right for summertime dining."
