La Madeleine Country French Café announced today the opening of its new café at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. The opening will mark la Madeleine's second location in the Atlanta airport — a la Madeleine kiosk can be found in Terminal 4 at Gate 2.
As the fourth airport location to open since the inception of the company's non-traditional growth plan in 2011, la Madeleine has been pursuing strategic expansion opportunities to bring the treasured French countryside experience and food to its customers, according to a company press release. As part of this strategy, la Madeleine has partnered with HMSHost to open the brand's second location in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
"La Madeleine continues to explore expansion opportunities to share our French-inspired bakery café experience with new guests near and far," said Paul Carolan, chief development officer for parent company Le Duff America. "Our cafés offer a unique choice within airports, and we're excited to be partnering with HMSHost to bring travelers from Atlanta, and all over the world, our fresh and authentic French cuisine in a convenient setting. We have worked with HMSHost in the past, and have found it to be a beneficial partnership. We couldn't ask for a better team to bring the Atlanta airport a full-service la Madeleine."
Situated before the security check-in point, la Madeleine welcomes all to sit, sip and savor without the rush of the day in their way. Lingering is lauded and guests are given ample time to enjoy la Madeleine's authentic tastes, aromas and ambiance among friends, family and colleagues, Carolan said.
The café's new design and décor unites comfort with the French country atmosphere, and the chain has also enhanced its seating options, which now include banquette seating, high-top tables and a wine-tasting table. The signature stone fireplace adds to the ambiance of the seating area, and updated lighting rounds out the relaxed dining experience, said John Cahill, chief operating officer at la Madeleine.
"We are thrilled to see the doors open in Atlanta with HMSHost, and look forward to welcoming in travelers from all over the world," he said. "Atlanta is as lively as ever, with new dining options and retail stores surrounding our location. The addition of this café underscores our growth in the region and loyalty of our la Madeleine guests. We warmly invite Atlanta's travelers and guests to enjoy our newest restaurant and make the café their own."
